Shogo Nakamizo, who took delivery of his first car, a 1975 Innocenti “Mini Cooper 1300”, in July 2023, is now 25 years old (at the time of the interview). He is a young old car owner who will be a driving force in the automotive hobby in the future.
“I decided to buy it on the spur of the moment. I saw it in the showroom of Automobile Assist Breath and loved the color.”
It is surprising that at the age of 25, he would visit a special shop and check out an Innocenti Mini! Nakamizo’s brother, who loves his crimson Triumph TR-4, is an Automobile Assist Bless user, which is one of the reasons for the close relationship between the two.
“This is the second time I’ve taken part in the Bless-style hobby car touring. The last time I visited was five or six years ago when I was a passenger on my brother’s Triumph. This time I participated for the first time as a driver. I think it was a very valuable experience to be able to drive with cars that you don’t normally get to see on the roads you normally drive, and more importantly, the roads and scenery were amazingly beautiful, and I would like to drive a lot on roads like this, so I will participate next time if the dates work out. It was a lot of fun.”
“I want to make more memories in the future”
Mr Nakamizo told us that he rides on holidays because he doesn’t have time to ride during the week. It has been less than six months since he started riding, so he said he would like to make more memories in the future.
“For now, I want to continue driving the car in stock form. I would be happy to meet many people and cars through this car.”
He says he wants to buy a bigger car when he has a family, but we’re sure he won’t give up his Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300 and will add a family car to his fleet, so we’ll keep an eye on the young old car owner’s future.
