Girls Car Collection, a car event forbidden to boys, was held

The girls-only car event ‘Girls Car Collection’ was held on 23 November 2023 at Akihabara, Tokyo. Among the approximately 30 car-loving girl-owned cars that were assembled, we would like to introduce the owner of a Suzuki ‘Jimny’, which was customized with guts down to the smallest detail.

Customized Jimny that fell in love at first sight

KOTO is driving a customized 2021 Suzuki Jimny that he contracted in a state of love at first sight and waited about a year and a half for delivery. The reason it took so long to deliver the car was partly due to the popularity of the Jimny itself and the lack of supply, but also because he had asked the shop to customize the car “to make it look like a Mercedes-Benz Gerende” before delivery.

“I bought the Jimny because the shape was already cute. I don’t know anything about cars, but I really liked the way it looked, and I wanted to put this or that on it! I asked the car shop to do it.”

Full of attention to detail

The custom parts KOTO chose include a WALD bonnet, DAMD aero parts, a roof carrier, Ikaring lights, leather and carbon items for the interior, an AERO OVER side-mounted muffler, and a blow-off valve. The blow-off valve was installed on the AT because she wanted to add “the one that makes that pshh-pshh-pshh sound”, but the other parts were not just installed, but it seems that detailed attention was added to them.

“I had the ride height lowered as far as I could by cutting the springs. I asked the car shop to drill holes for the Mercedes Benz-like blinkers and I also asked them to spray the door visors black once and then paint them the same color. The doors were the same color, but I didn’t want them to be a bit blurry, so I had them painted black along the lines. I was also particular about the AERO OVER muffler and the emblems. The bonnet also had the WALD logo on it, but I had them all replaced with Suzuki’s S. I didn’t want even one thing to be different, so I had them all changed. I didn’t want even one thing to be different. I think it was quite difficult for the car shop.”
