Move Canbus looks like something!

Daihatsu “Move Canbus” is popular for its cute style. It has become popular among owners who like to customize their vehicles. The tagline is “We look alike, don’t we?” In the commercial, the characters of the people and the car are depicted as “looking alike”.

Customization inspired by a friend’s car

Owner YASUXILE bought his LA800S Move Canbus six years ago. He had previously driven a fully custom HIACE and intended to drive his Move stock. However, after seeing a friend’s Move Canbus painted in Caribbean Aqua Metallic Blue Pearl, he was inspired to modify it.

With a California-look Volkswagen TYPE2 in mind, he set up a surfboard on a wood-laid rack and displayed palm trees and other items around the car.

Since he loves the cute stock style, he did not replace the bumpers and other parts. In addition, a one-off hood spoiler was made to enhance the sense of unity with the body. Also interesting is the skeleton fuel filler cap made from a clear acrylic sheet. The cap is also originally made up.

At the front, an original grille with honeycomb mesh specification was set. The rear emblem of the VW Golf 7 was mounted in the middle.

The body color at the time of purchase was two-tone white/green, but it was repainted red/white, which is not available as a factory color. They used Toyota’s original color Super Red Five for the paint.

Also, the headlights were disassembled from the factory unit and the internal parts were painted. The C-shaped light of the main unit was redesigned as a turn signal light. They are finished with flowing sequential turn signals. Pure white LED daylights were also added.

The interior is finished in the same color scheme as the body. The base color is white, and only some panels and seat seams are red.

Of course, you can’t drive it

You can’t miss the steering wheel. It’s the steering wheel for the Wii game “Mario Kart”! It has been modified so that it can be attached to the steering boss. It is a dummy, of course, but that kind of sense is important. The real steering wheel is also painted a fancy candy red.

The owner also likes to dress up in costumes to match the car’s image. If Mario and Princess Peach in a cute red and white drive Move Canbus, it would be a hit. The owner not only enjoys the customization of the car but also enjoys life with the car.
