Participating with his wife’s Dodge ‘Challenger’
“Let’s Chill Out!” is a new style event that combines car shows and auto-camping around outdoor and custom cars. There was a wide variety of cars, including classic cars, American cars, and campervans, gathered to enjoy camping. Here are some cars and owners that caught our attention from the event.
Charger, which looked clean but was in terrible condition
Mr Hoshino was camping in a tent alongside his wife’s Dodge Challenger and his 1968 first-generation Dodge Charger. They used to drive a Challenger together, but he ordered the Charger directly from the US about three years ago, as he preferred the older one. However, when they finally received it, they found that it was not a simple car.
“It was beautiful when I saw it in the pictures, but it looked like it hadn’t been moved for 10-odd years and was fully original but broken everywhere. First of all, when I started it up, the engine, transmission, differential, power steering, and brakes, all leaked oil. We started by repairing those parts and got it ready to ride, but then it had no power, terrible roll, and no brakes, and to tell the truth, it was just stressful to ride it.
