The original body color was carnival yellow
On 16 October 2022, a total of 353 Honda Beats and S660s gathered for “the BEAT & S660 Meeting” in 2022 at Yachiyo Kogyo in Sayama, Saitama Prefecture. Most of the S660s had been customized. Let us introduce you to the car that stood out the most at the event, with most of its bodywork made from carbon fiber parts.
Bought a S660 as a lightweight mid-ship sport
The original body color of the 2017 S660 was Carnival Yellow. Now only some of the exterior mirrors and the rear panel have been painted. Most of the body is covered in carbon fiber parts.
The owner said. I used to drive a Caterham Super Seven 1700SS. I bought the S660 because I wanted to drive an open two-seater for the first time in a long time. I considered the Copen and the Roadster at the time but decided on the S660 because it’s a mid-ship sports car.
“What we don’t have, we make one-offs”
The car has a full carbon fiber hood and one-off front and rear fenders. The dry carbon hardtop is made by Yachiyo Kogyo and the hood by RS Carbon. The striking carbon wing is made by VOLTEX and the rear diffuser and skirt are also made from dry carbon. Some of the parts were made as one-offs to reduce the weight of the car.
The interior, which includes a Saito roll cage, was fitted with RS Carbon twill weave carbon door panels, various additional Defi gauges, Recaro RMS bucket seats, an OMP carbon steering wheel, and a Mugen quick-shifter to create a racy atmosphere. The engine is fitted with an intercooler, oil cooler, EVC, and catalytic converter, while the ECU is a one-off data set from T-Racing to ensure the car runs perfectly.
The S660 is also enjoyed on the track. The owner says that the car is “just for show, a time attack spec”, but that he would like to develop the aerodynamics further in the future.
