Endless’ classic car reproduction technology

Endless is also known as one of the leading tuning parts manufacturers in Japan, and at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 held from January 12 to 14, 2024, Endless met the expectations of fans by displaying a fully restored old Suzuki “Fronte Coupe” car.

An old car was displayed in response to fans’ expectations

When the Tokyo Auto Salon first started in 1983 as the Tokyo Exciting Car Show, tuning and dress-up stores were the main exhibitors, but since the late 1990s, car manufacturers have also been running booths on a large scale. Nowadays, visitors can enjoy high-quality concept cars, creative tuning cars, and dress-up cars.

Among the well-known exhibitors who presented exciting cars at this year’s show, Endless, a top brand of brake systems and one of the leading tuning parts manufacturers in Japan, responded to the expectations of fans by displaying its customary restored old cars.

It has been standard practice at the Endless booth in recent years to showcase the latest models equipped with the company’s parts, while also displaying classic cars from Japan and overseas that have been beautifully finished down to the last detail.

Thanks to the late founder, Isao Hanazato

“This is not our first kei-car, as we have finished Honda Z and N360 in the past, but we have never worked on a kei-car with a 2-stroke engine, so from that perspective, this is our first.”

According to the Endless staff member who told us this, they finished the work in-house with a greater focus on sheet metal and painting.

Why the front coupe? When we asked him about this, he told us this.

“Isao Hanazato, the founder and chairman of Endless, passed away in 2023, and when he was young he built a Fronte coupe racing car and raced it at Tsukuba Circuit and other tracks. Thanks to the late Chairman Isao Hanazato, the classic car on display at this year’s exhibition was created as a memorial to him.”
