Endless has a variety of proposals for sports car enthusiasts
Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 was held from January 12 to 14, 2024, and while we were surprised to see the Toyota Vellfire on display at the Endless booth, probably for the first time at the company’s booth, there were of course several products of interest to sports car users The company’s booth was also home to many products that are of interest to sports car users. Let us introduce them here.
Monoblock calipers and rotors for the R35 GT-R were unveiled
First up is the new type of Racing MONO6 calipers that were installed on the demo car, the Nissan R35 GT-R. Named the “Racing MONO6EVO 2024,” these calipers were the largest in the history of Endless caliper kits.
The rotor diameter installed on the front of the GT-R was a whopping 415mm! The maximum rotor diameter can be up to 420mm, and the caliper itself is 3kg lighter per side than the R35 GT-R stock caliper with a weight of 3100g, thanks to the latest topology optimization and shape optimization technology. The rear caliper also has a 392mm rotor. Incidentally, the rear also contained 392mm rotors.
A monoblock caliper of this size will change the sense of security (the stock calipers are cast, so they will open up when driving at FSW or Motegi ……).
Nine new caliper colors are available
Speaking of brake calipers, the color/coating of the calipers has also been revamped. The name has been changed to “coating,” and all nine colors are new, including the previously unavailable red matte finish. The quality of the paint itself has been considerably improved, and its high quality and heat resistance have been raised a notch, so it is something to look out for.
Copper-free sports pads are now available
New brake pads, the most familiar, are also available. Named “SR01,” this is a copper-free sports pad that does not use any copper as a friction material, which has been in demand in recent years. While responding to the demand for pads with low environmental impact mainly in Europe and the United States, this new pad was developed with confidence as a new pad that can be used from the street to the race circuit with no complaints in terms of performance.
The rotor proper temperature ranges from 50 to 700℃, and the touch remains almost the same at both high and low temperatures, and features very good controllability.
New suspension settings are possible with the bump rubber combination.
Apart from brakes, another product that deserves special mention is the Make Bump Rubber (MBR). Normally, bump rubbers are only an item to prevent the suspension from bottoming out, but for tuning cars with limited suspension stroke, the length, shape, and firmness of these bump rubbers have also been found to have a significant effect on suspension characteristics.
To solve this problem, Endless has prepared six types of bump rubbers made of rubber material with high elasticity characteristics (urethane is generally the major material), and by combining these bump rubbers, it is possible to assist the function of the spring and freely set the load and stroke amount.
The special rubber is designed to be close to and in tune with tire deflection, so it works well on the street. This is an idea product as a new suspension setting part.
