Endless’ first !? The centerpiece of the TAS exhibit is minivans
A surprise at the Endless booth at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024, held January 12-14, 2024, was the display of the current 40-series Toyota Vellfire. This was probably the first time a minivan was displayed at the Endless booth at the Auto Salon.
A new kit was developed exclusively for the 40-series Alphard/Vellfire
Although caliper kits were also available for the 30 series, a new exclusive kit was developed for the 40 series. The calipers are 6-pot calipers forged from the same material as the Racing MONO series calipers and have a capacity that will not cause braking anxiety even when fully loaded in a heavyweight minivan (Alphard/Vellfire). The front of the 40 Vellfire on display had φ380 rotors.
At the same time, an inch-up kit is available for the rear brakes, utilizing the factory calipers with electric parking brake. 40 Vellfire’s factory rear rotors are φ317 (one piece), but with this kit, it is possible to inch up to φ355 two-piece rotors. Since only the original inch-up stay and reinforcement were added, it is simple and reliable.
The kit also provides a dress-up effect to match the large-diameter wheels
The wheel size for both the front and rear brakes is at least 18 inches, but considering the avoidance of large calipers, the stock 19-inch wheels are too tight. The combination with wheels that have enough space behind the spokes is a must.
By the way, the Endless demo car was equipped with Enkei’s RS05RR FORGED (21 inches x 8.5J-38 / prototype color).
Alphard/Vellfire owners have probably already changed their wheels, and on the other hand, as a result of the inch up, the stock brakes have a noticeable scuffing effect, which has become a bottleneck. If a full-fledged brake kit such as Alvel 6 can be used to increase brake capacity, it will have the effect of killing two birds with one stone.
This Vellfire was also equipped with GROW down springs, GR aero parts, and a Fujitsubo left and right muffler (prototype), which not only showcased the brake kit, but also served as a model for overall dress-up tuning.
