DELTA FORCE, a popular name in the SUV world, launched new wheels

A record 660 customized vehicles were gathered at Osaka Auto Messe (OAM) 2024, which was held at Intex Osaka from 10-12 February 2024. Amidst all this, the DELTA FORCE booth unveiled its new wheels. They were immediately displayed mounted on a demo car, the Mitsubishi Delica D:5.

DELTA FORCE is a wheel brand based in Hyogo Prefecture. Until recently, the only wheel in the line-up was the OVAL wheel with a 12-spoke design, but the reason it is so charismatic and popular despite being only one design is that it is available in a range of sizes that take into account the optimum size and offset for a wide variety of vehicle types.

The DELTA FORCE has now launched a new design. The new wheel is called the OVERLANDER, a 2 x 5-spoke design with an attractive, deeply sculpted design. Still, the spokes extend to the top of the rim, giving the wheel a much larger diameter than it is, and even when combined with aggressive off-road tires, the design is not overpowered. The design is accentuated by a beadlock ring-style decoration on the rim periphery, similar to that on the OVAL.

This OVERLANDER began its development with a 16-inch version for the Delica D:5. The size is 16x7J 35, PCD114.3-5H, and the hub diameter is φ73mm, designed exclusively for the D5 after a minor change. The company plans to add 17-inch and other models to the line-up in the future.

The Delica D:5 demo car is equipped with 235/70R16 MONSTA MUD WARRIOR tires, one size larger than the factory size. The left side of the car was fitted with conventional OVAL tires, and the left and right sides of the car were fitted with different designs so that the new design could be compared with the conventional model.

One more thing, the demo car was fitted with the collaborative Rhino-Rack products to give it a full-fledged camping specification. Firstly, a roof rack covering most of the roof of the spacious one-box was installed, and a roof-top tent was mounted on top of it. The roof rack was also fitted with a batwing awning that can be deployed 270 degrees to cover the sides of the vehicle, creating a campsite at the OAM venue.
