The hobby car of an owner who enjoys two-wheels and four-wheels

Mr. Takanashi, an owner of an Alfa Romeo “Giulia 1600 Super”, arrived at his current car about 10 years ago after a long history of hobby cars, including an Isuzu “117 Coupe”, a “Mini Mk. I”, an MG “Midget Mk. II” and a Porsche 930 “911”.

“This is a 1970 Giulia 1600 Super. I have known it for about 10 years.”

The owner, Mr. Takanashi, has been with us for about 10 years now. He has been actively participating in historic car events in Niigata and other areas.

“The reason why the license plate number is relatively new is because the car was scrapped once during the Corona Disaster period when it was out of inspection. So when I reacquired the license plate number in the fall of 2022, I decided to use any number I wanted.”

In other words, the car has been numbered twice during its history of being owned by a single owner.

Mr. Takanashi, who was born in 1962, obtained his driver’s license at the age of 18 and drove a variety of cars, including an Isuzu “117 Coupe”, a “Mini Mk. I”, an MG “Midget Mk. II” and a Porsche 930 “911”.

“The engine, transmission, and other parts have all been modified, so now the engine is in good shape,” said Takanashi.

He is also a motorcycle rider and a hobbyist who enjoys both motorcycles and automobiles. According to the entrant’s profile in the event program, “We will consider transferring the car depending on the conditions,” but knowing the wonderful relationship between Mr. Takanashi and the Giulia 1600 Super, we were sure that this would not be the case.
