The Jimny next door looks small!
A record 660 customized cars were gathered at Osaka Auto Messe (OAM) 2024, held at Intex Osaka from 10-12 February 2024. This time, we present BEAST-R’s Suzuki ‘Every’ with an impressive lift-up customization.
10-inch lift in suspension!
BEAST-R in Kyoto Prefecture is a shop that has long specialized in lift-up customization of Suzuki ‘Jimny’, ‘Every’, and ‘Carry’ vehicles. Lift-up customization of the Every has always been a popular model with the company. Still, the current DA17 Every demo car on display at this year’s booth was higher than before, making the Jimny next to it look a little smaller. We asked them about it.
“Yes, we decided to release a new 7-inch lift-up kit for the DA17. By combining this with 3-inch coil spacers, we have achieved a total lift of 10 inches.”
A 10-inch (approx. 25 cm) lift-up cannot be achieved by simply replacing the springs, but requires lowering the mounting position of the arms and stabilizers themselves, which is why the kit includes all the special brackets that are inserted between the chassis and the member.
And because the tires fitted are 31/9.5R15, a size that is not standard for light cars, their height is even higher.
The wildly lifted Every will be the new trend
The exterior is fitted with the company’s SS bumpers front and rear, plus a combination of pipe bumper guards underneath. The wings are fitted with 70 mm wide fenders, as well as pipe bumpers, side steps, and other items from the company in various parts.
This means the body size will easily exceed the kei car limit, and the car will be registered as a number 3 car. In any case, there was never a shortage of people around the out-of-standard Every Lift Up Custom.
“The Every can carry a lot of luggage, and above all, the base model is inexpensive, so I hope that this kind of customization will give outdoor and off-road enthusiasts an alternative to the Jimny.”
