The Honda Odyssey with a lot of tricks up its sleeve

The front bumper lower part of an FC1 Civic was swapped onto a Honda RC Odyssey, and the superb collaboration was successfully completed by Mr. “Shiroikuma” (63), a resident of Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. The Odyssey, which stands out for its rich variation in parts selection, is a car that shows off its originality and skill.

The ingenious daylight is a two-color emitting system

The front bumper is the most notable feature of the Honda Odyssey, which is a fusion of the RC Odyssey and the FC1 Civic, a feat accomplished without any sense of incongruity.

The side decals are a one-off order, combining different products for the front and rear and adding further arrangements. The smoke film is applied to the side chrome. The back style is coordinated with a V-Vision rear spoiler and an Admiraltion muffler. The muffler has been relocated outwards to match the aero system.

A generic rear wing is also fitted on top of the stock wing. The wrap-painted wing is eye-catching. The back doors have also been electrically operated to improve practicality. Not only does it look good, but it is also easy to use.

One of the most eye-catching features is the original daylight transplanted from the FC1 Civic. When lit, the two-color daylight and indicator lights have a huge impact. The result of these extensive modifications, which were carried out using a variety of ideas in pursuit of my ideals, is a stunning style. To make it all come together without feeling like an afterthought, I was particularly particular about the three-dimensional construction of the upper part of the fog lamps, and I am amazed at the high degree of perfection.

The detail make-up is also very particular

To give the headlights a sharp look, eyelines were applied to the upper part of the headlights and the lower part was trimmed with a black film, as long as the lighting effect was not compromised. Other details such as the DIY application of smoke film on the chrome, the choice of wrap-painted wings, and the semi-ordering of side decals were also carefully selected.

The engine compartment has also been painstakingly made up. The engine cover was painted red and combined with a red bonnet damper that was purchased online. Even the parts that can’t be seen are carefully coordinated.

“I blacked out the chrome parts to match the black body. However, we changed our mind and changed the wheels from black to aluminum color. The front grille was changed this time as a one-off, with the Civic grille on the underside to give it more character.”

Mr. “Shiroikuma”‘s car has a fearless front face thanks to the Honda collaboration between Odyssey and Civic. The fact that the swap was completed by the same manufacturer probably contributed to the wonderful sense of unity. Hats off to the idea.
