Mr. PONZ was thinking about buying his next car as his old one was about to be inspected. After searching for a compact car (hatchback) with AT, mainly for commuting, the GR Yaris RS caught his eye. It is the best car for Mr. PONZ as it is fuel efficient and runs nimble, and he had no intention of customizing it at all.

However, PONZ was inspired by a GR Yaris lowered with an air suspension that he saw on Instagram and wanted to customize the body and suspension. At first, he thought about installing easy dampers, but the style wasn’t quite right, so he decided to use Ploom’s 4-wheel independent air suspension to create the perfect landing posture.

The tank/compressors are well laid out so as not to sacrifice the compact luggage space, and the ride is comfortable. There are no complaints at all, as the start button instantly switches to the driving mode ride height. And sitting under the lowered footprint are Fifteen52 Turbomac (8.5 x 18 in30) American-made wheels. A Rotiform aero disc is also fitted at the front, further intensifying the impact.

Personalized customization with foreign-made parts

The Fifteen52 wheels are not the only foreign-made parts fitted to this GR Yaris. Maxton Design’s front lip is made in the UK, RoART Engineering’s rear wing is made in Mexico and LIKEWISE SUZUKA shift knob is made in Australia.

When he found a part he liked on the internet, he ordered it via a distributor, or if no distributor was available, he emailed the overseas manufacturer directly and ordered it by personal import. The result is a one-of-a-kind, unique style that does not look like any other GR Yaris.

The Yaris is not only aesthetically pleasing, but has also been tuned with a Blitz carbon power air cleaner and HKS High Power Spec Ⅼ II muffler for the intake and exhaust systems, and the braking system has been strengthened with Endless 6 pots and 324 rotors. The car is currently finished to a high degree of perfection, but customization is still a work in progress. He is planning to renew the aero parts in the future.
