Liberty Walk’s modern super version of Countach
Liberty Walk has created a fascinating machine that will capture the hearts of car lovers. The Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 booth was filled with a host of remarkable machines, but it was the Lamborghini Countach that had us old geeks stopping and staring at it with rapt attention. The Countach, which had been revived in 2022 with Liberty Walk’s unique customisation, was finished as THE supercar, a machine so cool that it made us shiver.
Creating new exotic car customisation
For the generation that experienced the supercar boom, the Lamborghini Countach has a special place in their hearts. And even those who don’t know much about cars know only the Countach, the most famous car of the 20th century.
Liberty Walk has worked on various supercars under the name ‘LB Works’. In the Lamborghini series, they have produced models such as the ‘Murcielago’, ‘Aventador’ and ‘Huracan’, but strangely they have not touched the famous Countach. This is what Liberty Walk representative Kato had to say about this.
“I just didn’t happen to have the chance. We had thought about doing it many times in the past, but we couldn’t find a good vehicle and gave up. This time, I happened to come across a Countach of good condition, so I took on the challenge of remaking the body in the Liberty Walk style.”
The Countach, which is regarded as the origin of supercars, is a car designed to pursue coolness, including its form. And there is a grandiose futility that comes from prioritising style. The Liberty Walk customisation was done to further refine this spectacular leanness and create a modern version of the Countach that is even cooler and creates a new worldview of supercars.
Somehow, it was a mixture of old and new. The LB Works Countach has a form that is just too exquisite to be missed, and it has won the hearts of car enthusiasts.

“Of course, this Countach has the usual wings cut off! This Countach was in very good condition. But we don’t care if it’s valuable or not! We’re going to do it our way, and we’re going to promote Japanese custom car culture.”
