Modified the body and suspension to my liking

According to the owner “Kona”, this FAIRLADY Z had a muffler and coil overs installed from the time of purchase. He also added his modifications, but it was not until his partner told him about it that he came up with his current style.

“In the beginning, the car was taller and I only knew how to add things, so I just added a lot of things. After meeting him, he taught me how to ‘subtract’ and it became what it is now. I made this car so that 20% of people would pass on it, but 80% of people would say it’s cool.

As for the body, in addition to the Impul rear wing and Bomex aero parts, the front and rear fenders were knocked out by about 2 cm to set 326 Power Yaba King Ghost wheels (F9J/R10J). In terms of details, the upper portion of the side steps was smoothed out and the upper aero portion was shortened to preserve the press lines. Along with this bodywork, the car was also painted entirely in the red base color of the Honda “NSX” with added metallics.

As for the suspension, the camber was added by modifying the ACC air suspension, front upper arms, rear lower and upper arms, and toe control rods.

“With a car lowered with dampers, I don’t notice bumps in the road and rub the car. Then I thought, why not raise the ride height with air suspension? Now I’m thinking about lowering the front end a little more, but then I’ll have to add a little more camber, and I still have a lot to think about.

We would like to change the interior in the future

When we asked him about future custom details, he told us this.

“Most of my customization is mainly on the exterior, so I would like to change the shabby seats to Recaro semi-buckets. The Grand Class bullet train uses Recaro seats, and I think it’s great that they are chosen for the bullet train.

Also, I would like to overhaul the engine since it has 130,000 km on it. Other than that, the exhaust manifold and other parts are stock, so I would like to improve the appearance and sound. I would like to keep driving this FAIRLADY Z, so it would be an exaggeration to say that I would like to get rid of the car when I can no longer drive it. ……”

Sometimes people say they want their car to be a coffin for them when they die, but for “Kona” it is a car that she loves so much that she wants to take it with her to the other side of the world.
