The pursuit of a racy style full of individuality

Mr. Shimo has tuned his Nissan Serena not only to look cool, but also to drive well. What is the secret behind this unique style? Let’s take a closer look at the tuning menu.

Everything is tuned for driving

Owner Mr. “Shimo” (43 years old) says he aims for a style with a hint of raciness because he loves to drive. He has a Nismo front end, H-style C27 sides, Kenstyle rear end, and Impul wing, and he likes the mix of the different brands, making the most of their individuality.

What’s interesting is that the one-off parts with unique designs are added to the mix. The creator of these parts is a friend of Mr. Shimo’s, Mr. “Shiotakubody”, who is a well-known name among Serena drivers. The front flap, bonnet spoiler, and rear mudguards are all one-offs, all with a unique and original design that makes them an eye-catcher. The stock chrome has been suppressed with gunmetal to blend in with the rare body color, which is also exquisite. Tuning and reinforcement for driving are also perfect.

Off-the-shelf flaps and gunmetal paint add originality

The front base is Nismo. A one-off flap is placed underneath to raise the level of raciness. The factory chrome parts such as the grille are painted gunmetal. The bonnet spoiler is a handmade one-off by Mr. “Shiotakubody”. The wing-like design with sharp fins and floating wings is innovative, aerodynamic, and dynamic. The headlights are made by hand from a carapace. LED rings were added to the low-beam section and the high-beam side is a double projector. The upper section is lined with L-shapes.

A Ken-style spoiler is fitted at the rear, with a one-off mudflap at its center bottom for a uniquely racy look. An AR Sport muffler for the C27 was used. The suspension is a combination of TEIN dampers and 326 Power springs. Tower bars and other reinforcement parts were used to increase rigidity. Professor wheels were installed to tighten up the suspension.
