Customizing the Toyota “Harrier”
Mr. Takuya Tajika, 31, attended the “Super Carnival Real 2023 in Gifu powered by AUTO MESSE” in Gifu Prefecture with his family, and he has a Toyota “Harrier” as his beloved car. Rather than simply adding parts, he has taken the time and effort to coordinate and modify the car in detail, creating a car that stands out from the crowd. Let’s take a look at the interior of the Harrier, which also has a lot of ingenuity.
The exterior is full of ideas that will make you roar
Mr. Takuya Tajika purchased a Toyota Harrier, which he had hoped to drive someday. Although his wish had come true, there were many rivals as it was a popular car to use as a base for dress-up. So, he decided to modify the ESPRIT bumpers to “make a little difference”. Both the front and rear bumpers were modified, but the basic design was not altered, so it may not be easy to tell the difference.
But the daylight that was attached under the front fog pockets was vertically mounted, and the rear foglight was modified and installed for the Nissan Z34 series “Fairlady Z”. Furthermore, the built-in muffler has been converted to a 4-piece muffler, and when you check out the modified parts, you can’t help but be amazed at the ideas that went into this project.
As for the suspension, LEONHARDIRITT Gemut wheels are installed. The discs are white to match the body, and the rims are brushed. For the brake system, CEIKA was selected, and the calipers and bell housing are gold.
“Not only the aero system, but also the wheels, brakes, and suspension were done to my satisfaction, so I feel like I’ve done it all.”
After installing air suspension for comfortable everyday use, the car may now be out of the dress-up phase and into the driving phase with the children.
The audio system has been converted to outer baffles
The interior is fitted with an ESPRIT steering wheel, the same brand as the aero system, to create a sense of unity. The speakers were replaced with German-made ETON speakers, which Mr. Tajika found to be cost-effective.
“The pillars and door linings were covered with outer baffles to create a custom look.”
