The rear seats emphasize a personal and relaxing feel
Lexus has added a three-row, six-passenger “Version L” to its “LM” luxury minivan lineup. The price is 5 million yen more than the Executive. The price was set at 15 million yen (including consumption tax), 5 million yen less than the Executive.
The version L was developed with various usage scenarios in mind, including business and private use, with emphasis on creating a relaxing interior environment that respects the individual even when there are many people in the car. With meticulous attention to detail and a wide variety of features that are characteristic of the “luxury mover” that LM, the car’s name, stands for, it provides a space where all occupants can naturally spend their time.
The seats are arranged in consideration of packaging so that every seat is comfortable, and the trim and overhead console are arranged in consideration of openness and visibility. The company also focused on driving and ride comfort by reducing sway, which is one of the causes of fatigue while driving, stabilizing the line of sight, and focusing on quietness for a “natural quietness that feels comfortable”.
In addition, the body size (length 5125 mm x width 1890 mm x height 1955 mm), exterior design, and powertrain are the same as the Executive. The 500h is a hybrid, combining a 2.4L turbo engine with a front motor and a high-power rear motor (eAxle).
The second row is a supremely luxurious specification
Focusing on the fact that head shaking has a significant impact on fatigue, the seats have a structure that supports the body by the waist in pursuit of pressure distribution on the seat surface and trunk retention. The front seats have optimized surface pressure distribution on the seat surface to hold the body regardless of the amount of G-force during turning; the second row has a structure that gently envelops the occupant with two different types of shock-absorbing materials and soft upholstery; the third row, like the second row, is gently enveloped and supported, with seatbacks and cushions thick enough to provide a comfortable seat. The third row has thicker seat backs and cushions for a comfortable seating position.
The second-row seat is a comfortable specification with a power seat with an ottoman and a large headrest to support the head, and L-ANILINE, Lexus’ highest quality leather, is used to achieve an elegant texture. They are equipped with an electric sliding mechanism of up to 480 mm and a relaxation function that presses down from the thighs to the back.
It also features a magnesium-topped retractable table, armrests with cup holders, and heated and ventilated seats. Other features include a touch-sensitive rear multi-operation panel on each of the left and right seats, a standard retractable 14-inch display on the overhead console, and a multi-position space-up seat in the third row that provides cargo room even when the second row is reclined, Semi-allen leather is used for the front and third-row seats.
To improve comfort in the rear seat section, the Rear Climate Concierge, which provides integrated control of air conditioning, seat position, sunshades, and lighting, is employed in the same way as in the Executive model. In addition to being customizable to the user’s preference, four preset modes are available.
