The Osaka Auto Messe 2024 (OAM) attracts a wide variety of custom cars. The Nissan Fairlady Z (Z33) was the car that caught the attention of the galleries at the event. Let us introduce you to this beautiful custom car, which looks like a supercar created by Carrozzeria.

A new legend begins here

At OAM, where high-level custom cars were lined up, this is the one car that caught the gallery’s eye. Unidentified, but if you look closely, you can see a Z33 “Fairlady Z”. Thinking back, the Z33, which doesn’t look that old, was launched more than 20 years ago. Nowadays, it could be called an old car, but it is precisely because it is such a base model that bold customization can be enjoyed. This Z33, which has undergone a full custom body remake, has taught us that once again.

The custom car shop “Garage Excellent” in Mie Prefecture produced this Z33. Transplanted with headlights and tail lights from the current RZ34 FAIRLADY Z, the Z33 has been reborn, and as the catchphrase of the FAIRLADY Z says, “A new legend begins here”.

The exterior construction shows such a strong will that it cannot stand out if it is done half-heartedly ……. In particular, the one-off front bumper has a unique look with its smooth curves and sharp edges. The long nose and double ducts in the center are also innovative and cool.

The wings are made by welding steel plates; the Z33’s form is made wider with raised wing arches for the ultimate chassis conversion.

The rear section was also widened with aero with overwhelming volume, and to further emphasise the beautiful coupe line of the current FAIRLADY Z, it was treated to extend from the rear quarter, creating a form that matches the tail of the current FAIRLADY Z.
