Evolution of Enthusiasm: From Dream to Real Nissan R35 GT-R

New interactions expanded from the purchase of the GT-R

There are a certain number of users who are enjoying their second life after acquiring their dream car because they have “finished raising their children and have a break”. Mr. Koji Hikita, a 35 GT-R owner whom we met at the “Kyushu GT-R Meeting 2023”, is one such person. He told us, “My life is so much more fulfilling now! “

Caught his dream while saving little by little

The “750R Kai” emblem was casually affixed next to the red badge on the grill. Mr. Koji Hikita, the owner of this Nissan “GT-R,” expresses his devotion to his beloved car.

The classic Skyline models that he had admired in his youth had become old cars, and their value had increased even more than at the time. Mr. Hikita decided to purchase the latest GT-R instead of an old car. Seven years ago, he got his wish and acquired a brand new Nissan GT-R Black Edition (2017).

Driving in a fully tuned 800 hp car

This Black Edition is not only dressed up on the exterior, but also has a new suspension and a fully tuned engine.

The contents are on the menu by Phoenix’s Power, and it gets 794.86 hp and 106.33 kg-m of torque. Body parts include a Top Secret carbon fiber hood, Blitz front lip spoiler, and mudguard covers. The wheels are Advan Racing GT, and the suspension is equipped with Jura Rec power cylinders.

In addition, the interior and other various carbon parts are all tuned and customized by RSW Japan and others.

However, in Hikita’s case, he enjoys driving around in this beloved car. As he told us, and as his posts on Instagram (@ 35_gtr_papa) clearly show, as long as he has time, he is out somewhere enjoying the GT-R life to the fullest.

“Before I got into the GT-R, I liked Subaru and had a Legacy and other cars as family cars. However, after I started driving the GT-R, my friend connections increased dramatically, and the interaction among fellow car enthusiasts became wider. When I was out and about, I was approached by people I didn’t know, and I think that kind of interaction is only possible with the GT-R.”

Rather than just taking pleasure in keeping a well-equipped tuning car shining in a garage, Hikita actively drives around and broadens his circle of friends. The Nissan “GT-R” led him to the best car life of his life.
