The new NV200 Vanette-based Sonova is cool!
Osaka Auto Messe (OAM) 2024, held at Intex Osaka from 10-12 February 2024, attracted a record 660 custom cars. This month’s article introduces the latest model in the Cal’s Motor series, the ‘Sonova’ based on the Nissan NV200 Vanette, which was on display at the Alpine Style booth.
Many chrome parts around the rear too!
The Cal’s Motor series produced by Alpine Garage has become a popular series with American-style chrome parts and bumpers. This year, a new model was added to the Cal’s Motor range. This is the Sonova.
The Sonova features a sharp, inverted-slanting grille that significantly changes the front of the solid and sturdy NV200 Vanette. The headlights are now four vertically aligned square eyes, and the headlight bezels and grille are chrome-plated. The bumper is a chrome design with an over-rider, and the front of the vehicle has been transformed to such an extent that there is no trace of the base vehicle at all.
Continuing to the rear, not only is the bumper chrome, but there are two chrome accent lines in the center of the rear liftgate and chrome bezels around the tail lamps. In addition, the CAL’S MOTOR emblem is placed near the center of the rear liftgate, giving the impression of a much lighter version of the NV200 Vanette.
You can create your own one-off vehicle with body colors and a wide range of options
The suspension comes standard with 14-inch MOON chrome wheels and 165/80R14 whitewall tires. The chrome parts are a perfect match for the chrome bodywork.
By the way, there is a wide range of body colors available, with 16 two-tone color patterns in addition to black and white monotone. The two-tone with a white upper part, like the vehicle on display, is said to be particularly popular.
In addition, original seat covers, an exclusive steering wheel, and floor mats are available as options, which can be combined to upgrade the interior. The NV200 Vanette, which has more of a commercial vehicle image, can be transformed into a stylish family wagon.
