Mitsubishi “Delica D:5” with the strongest defensive range
With the addition of children, Ms. “Goi Delica Joshi” was looking for a 4WD family car that could be used for camping and off-road driving. After test-driving a variety of 4WD family cars, she purchased a 2022 Mitsubishi Delica D:5. The car is full of attention to detail with a rugged atmosphere, and is finished without compromise down to the smallest detail.
Military-look style
“The Mitsubishi Delica D:5 is the only 4WD family car that can be used for outdoor activities! I went first to test drive the Delica D:5, and after comparing various other brands, I chose the Delica D:5. The car I test drove had off-road tires, but it was not at all as noisy as I had expected and the ride was very comfortable. So after purchasing the car, I installed tires that allow me to enjoy off-road driving. It’s very maneuverable and can be driven on narrow roads.”
She bought the car stock and started customizing it a couple of months later. The first step was the suspension, which was fitted with BRUT wheels and Toyo Open Country R/T tires. For the exterior, the front grille was painted with Raptor paint, which was mixed with fine, medium, and coarse grit, and bug guards were set. According to her, the concept of this Delica D:5 custom was “military”.
“I love big, burly monster trucks. But realistically, that’s a bit impossible, so I was inspired by armored vehicles. Ideally, I’d like to have chunky bumpers and the like, but there aren’t that many custom parts for the Delica D:5 yet, so I’ve been working on it. …… I try to make it look as rugged as possible.”
“In addition, a sub-computer is installed in the engine and a 5ZIGEN muffler is installed. Since it is also a family car, I have been customizing it while giving considerable consideration to fuel efficiency. As for the future, I am thinking of lifting the car and changing the shocks. I would like to put on bigger tires.”

She enjoys customizing her cars to match her image. Tires are also selected with the custom image in mind.
“I chose the Open Country R/T because I thought about the compatibility of the white lettering and wheels, and also because I wanted a tire that could be driven both on-road and off-road. The tread design was also perfect for my image. I don’t mind the road noise, and it is stable even when driving on the highway.”
